Club Affiliation and Registries: Five Valley Kennel Club and AKC
I have been raising Cocker Spaniel puppys on and off for the last 26 years. Only recently, in 2000, was I fortunate enough to buy a high quality cocker pup from Ramona Miller. Through an unfortunate accident I lost her and Ramona trusted me enough to let me have another pup which we call Seenar's Second Chance Stargazer. About six months after his purchase I was again fortunate enough to have Rhonda Gillette let me purchase a six month old bitch, Dsrtrose On The Wings Of A Angel.
Through careful prodding by my friend Robert Reis, I started showing my Cocker Spaniels in 2002. Robert bred Basset Hounds from 1974 to 1990. In the 1980's he became President of the Wine Country Kennel Club and Northern California Basset Hound Club. He was the Futurity Chairman for the Basset Hound Club of America.
Boy did I ever have a lot to learn! My dogs have been very patient with me and once I started figuring things out Chance finished quickly, not only in the United States, but, also in Canada. He has gone on to win four best of varieties, as well as some best opposites. Right now he is just being a dog. Angel has also attained her Champion title in the United States and is pointed in Canada. Along the way she has also picked up four best of varieties and several best opposites.
Toward the end of 2002, Robert and his mother Dorothy decided that they would like to purchase some parti dogs. That is how Yoshi's Art Deco came to be part of our lives. Arti has attained his Canadian title and is pointed in the U. S. We bred him to Can CH Yoshi's Judy Garland and kept two of the pups, a nice little black and white girl named Stargazer's Great Anticipation, and her brown and white brother, Stargazer's Great Expectations. We have high hopes for these two, so, we will see in the coming years what expectations they fulfill.
After a two and one half year search I finally met Lynn Davis of Windrose Cockers in Sandy, OR. She was kind enough to sell me Windrose Elusive Dream. She has started her climb towards her title in the U. S. with several points.
I have many people to thank for my small successes. My family has been so wonderful in supporting me. My handlers, also, for their kindness in giving me tips on how to show as well as groom. Then, Robert and Dorothy for their constant urging to never give up, never get discouraged. They are awesome friends.
