At Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home, we are very aware of the pain and sadness the holiday season can bring to those who have lost a loved one. The void is great.
The holidays are often a difficult time for those who are bereaved and coping with loss. There is no right or wrong way to handle the holidays. Holidays often magnify feelings of loss of a loved one. The key to coping with grief during the holidays is to find the way that is right for you. Dont set expectations too high for yourself or the day. Holidays are vital times of healing.
Share your concerns, feelings, etc. with a relative or friend as the holiday approaches. Accept their love and support. Donate a gift or money in your loved ones name. Consider setting aside some time to honor and remember the one who has died. Hanging a stocking, looking at pictures, or speaking about your loved one and sharing remembrances with family and friends may be a great source of comfort. Embrace your memories. Memories often bring tears and laughter, but they will sustain you through the years.
At Christmas time we are especially grateful for the opportunity to serve the communities in Eastern Montana. We want you to know that we feel the people in this area are absolutely the best! Janice F. Krausz, age 72, of Miles City, MT Visitation: Friday, December 3 with a family to receive friends from 4p.m. to 6p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services: Saturday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Zoie Yates-Gatlin, 3 month old daughter of Lana and Timothy of Miles City, MT Visitation: Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services: Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 11:00 am at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home.

Wesley Wes Dent, age 65, of Miles City, husband of Linda Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside services: Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1:30 pm at the Eastern Montana Cemetery with full military honors.

Roy Shannon, age 78, of Volborg, MT No services are being planned at this time, memorial services will be held at a later date.
