CHILDRENS BACKYARD TIPI-
The Childrens Backyard Tipi is 8'6" diameter, the backyard tipi is both fun and functional. Children love it as a playhouse. Great for kids backyard sleepovers. No matter how you spell it; tipi, tepee or teepee, a Reliable Tipi is a charming lodge that kindles nostalgic memories of a simpler time in history. The materials we use are modern and durable; the designs are authentic and replicate the tribal traditions of the western plains indians. The Crow, Sioux, Cheyenne, and Blackfeet styles are our specialties. The original dwellers of tipis were nomadic peoples attuned to the spirits, the land and its' animals, as well as, the seasons. Today we can enjoy a similar spiritual experience that seems to exist within all tipis.

Crow, Sioux, Cheyenne, and Blackfeet Indian Tipis (tepees, teepees)
volumes have been written about america's first inhabitants and while we have learned a lot about tipis from our native american friends, it doesn't seem right for us to tell their stories. Here are some links to web sites that you will find very interesting.

These canvas tents are known by many names. Whether you call them HUNTING TENTS, WALL TENTS, MOUNTAIN MAN TENTS, CABIN TENTS, OR PLATFORM TENTS, a RELIABLE WALL TENT fits the bill. Whatever you call them, all Reliable canvas tents are made to handle the toughest conditions that our outdoor enthusiast patrons can put them through.
As you explore through this website, reliabletent.com, you will find that we have named our tents after some of the great features of the mountains, Montana and Native American Tribes. Here is an explanation of those names.
GALLATIN WALL TENT is named after a beautiful river in south central Montana that starts in Yellowstone National Park and forms the mighty Missouri River along with the Jefferson and Madison Rivers at Three Forks, Montana. These quality custom designed canvas wall tents are built tough! The Gallatin was named after Albert Gallatin, Secretary of the Treasury from 1801-1814.

BIG HORN WALL TENT is named after three great features of Montana with the same name, the blue ribbon Big Horn River, the Big Horn Mountains of Montana and Wyoming and one of the original inhabitants, the big horn sheep. This canvas wall tent is usually in stock for quick delivery.

MOUNTAIN MAN WALL TENT is a tribute to the historical reenactment of the gatherings of the Mountain Men during the fur-trade era of the American West. These rugged individuals valued survival and independence and would appreciate the quality we build into our mountain man shelter. If you want to re-enact the past, check out The Montana 1830's Encampment website. For information on the ultimate reenactment, click on The Lewis & Clark Expedition Reenactment website.
YELLOWSTONE TENT is named for Yellowstone National Park, an extraordinary and unique part of our world, with fabulous mountains, geysers and valleys, and for the beautiful Yellowstone River, which flows though southern Montana.

THE GLACIER TENT is named for the Montana Park, which is a paradise of pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged ountains & spectacular lakes. We think this is the most unique canvas tents you can buy!

THE KODIAK is named for the Kodiak Island Archipelago, a large group of islands about 30 miles off the coast of Alaska. Kodiak Island is the largest of the archipelago.

THE TETON is named for the snowcapped snaggle-toothed peaks in Grand Teton National Park in western Wyoming. The Teton tent is one of our most popular canvas tents due to its packability, ease of setup, and price!

We hope you enjoy our website and maybe find something you would like to purchase.
