In the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in far Northwest Montana, lies one of the most fertile valleys in the west - the Flathead. Here, in rich, black soil, farmers grow an astonishing variety of fruit - strawberries, raspberries, sour and sweet cherries, gooseberries, chokecherries, blueberries, peaches, apples, melons, and more. And deep in the pine forests that blanket the slopes, pickers compete with grizzly bears for luscious huckleberries. From this cornucopia The Commissary at Greskos handcrafts award winning chocolates, fruit jelly candies and fine pastries.
Specialty Cakes "R" Us
The Commissary at Gresko's is moving into a new market - specialty and fancy cakes. Pictured above is a "Princess Dome," with a fondant topping covering whipped cream and a jelly-filled white cake. We think cake decorator Kim Moore did a wonderful job. Call or stop in for your special cake needs.
Our new line of hand decorated chocolate truffles has proved a big hit. Using a edible metallic dusts and colored cocoa butters, we paint our truffle molds with a variety of unique designs, then fill them with decadent multi-flavored ganaches. Check them out the next time you're in the shop.
New Cheeses for the Winter
We've added a bunch of new cheeses to our growing inventory, including a French Brie, Spanish Pastor Picon and Pata Cabra, and a pair of Raclettes. Check out our new display, featuring over 50 fine cheeses.
