While traveling through Montana and Idaho nearly 200 years ago, Lewis & Clark and the Corps of Discovery survived hardships, overcame enormous obstacles, and rejoiced in great triumphs. Lewis & Clark Trail Adventures invites you to walk in the footsteps of America's great early explorers. Our trip destinations are some of the most pristine areas of the Lewis & Clark expedition route. We offer a variety of scenic river trips by canoe or raft, exciting whitewater, hiking and biking on the historic Lolo Trail, or custom-designed combination of adventure destinations.
Lewis & Clark Trail Adventures was founded in 1989 to provide quality outdoor adventure for travelers who have imagined the places and the sense of wonder described by Lewis & Clark.
With that same sense of exploration and discovery, we can help bring your dream to life. Since our inception, we have consistently maintained the highest standards of excellence in serving our clients. We provide safe, dependable and professional outfitting services.

Our guides are experienced outdoorsmen/women, knowledgeable in history, and love to have fun. Who goes on our trips?
We provide a variety of adventures and our guests are just as diverse. On our historical adventures the common thread is their genuine interest in history and desire to actively experience the Lewis & Clark Trail. Our guests come as individual travelers, couples and families. Minimum ages varies between trips. Good physical condition is important but no technical skills are needed. Most of all the willingness to accept whatever the rivers and trails may bring will make your trip. Our trips are designed to accommodate all abilities and we do our best to accommodate special needs.
We created Lewis & Clark Trail Adventures to provide a quality outdoor adventure for travelers who have the desire, but not always having the means to experience the great outdoors. After a long cold night at Snowbank camp, anticipating a day of arduous travel Clark writes:
