NBC News (Missoula) Report
Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Jack the Bitterroot Beagle and I'm a famous movie star from the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana. As you can see it's a spectacular place to live.
I hope you like all of my movies, I sure had a great time making them. Children and families will enjoy my latest award winning movie, The Golden Bone. It was filmed in the beautiful Bitterroot Mountains. Also, when you buy my first movie, "The Adventures of Jack the Bitterroot Beagle" for your dog, all profits go to support Animal Shelters, Humane Societies, and Rescues. So please, help me take care of all those less fortunate animals out there. They need us.
Jack the Bitterroot Beagle overcomes treacherous obstacles, injury, and an encounter with Bigfoot, in his adventurous quest for the Golden Bone. In this movie, director John Williams incorporates a funny, adventurous storyline, over 40 talking dogs and characters, special effects and a soundtrack to provide a unique theatrical and educational experience for children and families. Canine wisecracks fly like frisbees as Jack romps through his own picturesque playground in Montana's beautiful Bitterroot Valley. Whether balancing on a log over a roaring stream, mingling with moose, or scurrying from a Sasquatch, Jack displays natural acting skills that will entertain the whole family.
Per Sandy Robins of MSNBC, - "Jack leads the treasure hunt to find the Golden Bone through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. This delightful romp allows children to get up close and personal with a variety of animals and appreciate nature. Good family fun. Your dog may even enjoy it too."
Star Wars editor, Mary M. Lind, - says it's "A fun, learning adventure for all."
Peter Rosten (President MAPS: Media Arts in the Public Sc hools) - "The Golden Bone is a charming film that children of all ages will enjoy."
LEARNING MESSAGES FOR CHILDREN
The Adventures of Jack the Bitterroot Beagle is my first movie. In it you will follow me as I take you on a Montana adventure. During this 69-minute action-filled movie, you will meet over 40 of my friends and share in the amusing and comical interactions we have. This movie not only has running, jumping, barking, meowing, singing, etc., but also a storyline - complete with music, special effects, and a talking Beagle. Yes, I am so human-like that I actually "talk" throughout the movie. This movie is meant to be entertaining for your dogs and your children. Please note that we are not responsible for damage or loss caused by over-excitable or aggressive pets.
Montana movie star, Jack the Bitterroot Beagle, has a huge heart and extends his paw to help sick children as well as all his animal friends who are in need of a meal and a loving family. Jack just loves kids, and they adore him too.
Jack has produced special versions of his award-winning movie, The Golden Bone and sent them to Childrens Hospitals around the country. Now, whenever the children watch my movie I will be there with them says Jack. I will help them through their illness and comfort them. We will also have some fun too, cuz laughter always makes us feel better.
Watch and listen as me and my dog friends tell some hilarious dog jokes. You'll bust out laughing at these funny, talking dog video jokes. The only thing funnier that a joke about dogs, is when it's told by a dog. That's right. The dogs telling these jokes can really talk (thanks to FLOWMINIC). See for yourself.
We have one-liner jokes, many of which you probably never heard before.
We also have several long jokes. One of them is about a dog that goes into a Butcher Shop for some fresh meat. What a smart dog he is!
Another joke features the Taco Bell Chihuahua. You will definitely see why he is a celebrity.
One of our other dog jokes is about a talking dog that goes into a bar and talks to the bartender. That dog sure know a lot about baseball.
In another joke, a man goes to the movies and brings his dog in with him. The dog shows more emotion than its owner.
Do you know anyone that has a service dog? The service dog joke is not only funny, but it has probably been tried many times before in real life situations.
On August 24, 2010 I hiked to the summit of Western Montanas Trapper Peak along with my dog, Jack the Bitterroot Beagle, and Bob Sherman of ExploretheBitterroot.com. The route we took was via Baker Lake, as opposed to the more heavily travelled Trapper Peak trail. We attempted this hike the week prior, but were unsuccessful in locating the path up the ridge from Baker Lake. However, with the help of Michael Hoyt, author of Bitterroot Mountain Summits, we found the proper route this time and successfully climbed the highest peak in the Bitterroot Mountains at 10,157 feet.
It took us nearly five hours to reach Trapper Peak Summit. But we were taking it easy and filming along the way. Im sure that Jack the Bitterroot Beagle could have made it in half that time, as he is a hiking machine. Jack had no trouble with any of the steep slopes or traversing the talus slopes and boulder fields. In fact, he did much better than we did.
The weather was perfect and the scenery was absolutely spectacular. At the summit, I filmed a 360-degree panning shot. It started toward the southwest over Trappers Summit. In the background, over the Boulder Creek drainage was Boulder Peaks middle and west summits. Farther back was Mount Jerusalem and North Mount Jerusalem. As I panned to the west, the west ridge of Trapper Peak came into view along with Mink Peak. Panning to the northwest, I could see Trapper Creek drainage, then the summits around Chaffin Canyon, West Chaffin Peak, The Shard, Little Tin Cup Peak, and Sugarloaf Peak. Farther away was El Capitan and, barely visible, one of the Como Peaks. To the northeast was Cave Lake, followed by a good view of North Trappers three summit blocks and its climbable north face. The Bitterroot Valley was now in the distance, with East Trapper Peak approaching in the foreground. Next was Boulder Point and Boulder Peaks east summit. The massive block in the foreground was on Trappers north ridge.
Montana movie star, Jack the Bitterroot Beagle, may be the only dog to have hiked Trapper Peak Summit by way of Baker Lake.
Montana movie star, Jack the Bitterroot Beagle, was recently invited by Larry Richards to visit his famous Living Diamonds Tibetan Yak Ranch. Larry's ranch is located near Polson, Montana in the gorgeous Mission Valley. Larry raises Yaks and currently has over 50 of them. That number will increase dramatically very soon when baby Yaks join the herd. Back in 1997, Larry flew 12 of his Yaks to Argentina where they starred with Brad Pitt in the movie, "Seven Years in Tibet".
Jack had this to say about his visit to Larry's Yak Ranch, "Larry volunteered my dad to help him round up these Yaks so he could give them de-worming shots. I just sat by the fence and laughed. Those old men were sweating like dogs and huffing and puffing like you wouldn't believe." When they weren't able to corral the Yaks, Jack the Bitterroot Beagle came to the rescue. "I was able to herd most of the Yaks into the corral so Larry could give them shots. The Yaks tried to scare me (many did a real good job of it too) but I never let on that I was. I was too fast and had all the right moves to avoid being stepped on and gored by those big, wooly beasts. Larry invited me back when the baby Yaks are born. I'll share that experience with you when I get back."
About a mile west of Hamilton, Montana stands the breathtaking Bitterroot Mountains. One of the favorite hiking trails of movie star, Jack the Bitterroot Beagle, is in Blodgett Canyon. On Jack's recent hiking trip there he even filmed it so all his fans would be able to hike along with him.
Blodgett Canyon has a beautiful creek running between its steep-sided walls. However, during Jack's early springtime hike, much of the stream was beneath a blanket of snow and ice. At several locations along Jack's hike, the crystal clear water was exposed and mirrored the reflective beauty all around it. Jack took every opportunity to explore these areas and catch a glimpse of his cute face in the reflections.
When Jack the Bitterroot Beagle isn't making movies, attending gala events, or resting, he enjoys listening to music. On this particular springtime day, Jack was attending a concert put on by a local robin and her babies. Mrs. Red Breast selected a 50's tune especially for Jack, as she knew he was an upbeat kind of guy. Jack loved the performance. He told the lead singer, "Your kids sure have been practicing. They'll probably be leaving the roost soon for solo careers."
