Welcome to Aspen Practice! Our commitment is to be at the root of integrated change and development.. Regardless of the service we provide through our practice, this is how we see our work.

Though our practice is broad, and intended to meet a wide variety of needs, there are a few areas we do focus on such as offering high level psychological assessments, treatment services for children and their families, interventions for the developmentally disabled, forensic services, and various levels of consultations. These services are delivered in a fashion that reflects fifteen years of licensed practice across the roles of being an administrator, clinician and supervisor of behavioral health providers. Having worked in these capacities as both a clinician and as an executive manager, the carry over in the field comes from day-to-day practice and includes knowledge of:

Dr. Btz is a licensed psychologist, a clinical psychologist by training; with several areas of specialization and additional nationally recognized credentials. The contributions he has made to the field of clinical psychology resulted in Dr. Btz's election as a Fellow to the American Psychological Association's Society for Clinical Psychology in 2008. He has also served as a CARF Surveyor for Behavioral Health and Children and Youth Services (currently he is on leave), and has worked in executive management in behavioral healthcare for over a dozen years prior to starting Aspen Practice, P.C. There, he has experience with many clinical service delivery modalities and has lead many different operational necessities such as billing, information technology, etc.
Given this breadth of experience, Dr. Btz is able to offer a wide array of services including the following.

Full, Academic, Cognitive, Developmental, Employment-Based, Forensic, Intellectual and Personality.

Accreditation, Behavioral Management, Business Management, Clinical, Educational, Information Technology, Personnel and Service Delivery.

These are assessments that address specific issues central to the referral question and crafted by the client(s), parent/guardian(s) and/or referral source.

He has conducted presentations and workshops on a wide variety of topics locally, nationally and internationally. Claiming a specialization is not a casual statement by a provider. It represents years of work, and by definition providers who specialize have had training, supervision and practical experience above and beyond those required by the degree they earned and the level of licensure that was obtained. A Company Profile...
In October of 2004 Aspen Practice continued the services provided by Richard D. Recor, Ph.D. of Aspen Counseling to Montana and the surrounding communities. Dr. Recor has now established a new practice in Newport Beach, California taking on new adventures in providing behavioral health services there.
We have been honored to carry on the work Dr. Recor established in 1993, and in assuming the practice have taken over all clinical records. If you would like to reach Dr. Recor, you may contact him through his new web site at www.drrecor.com.

Aspen Practice, P.C. is located at the West End of Billings, Montana. For those familiar with the Billings area, our location less than a quarter of a mile from the intersection of Shiloh Road and Grand Avenue. The location is accessible by two freeway exits, King Avenue and Shiloh Road; and off the Zimmerman Trail as well, for those traveling from the Billings Heights.
