Horseback riding is an important part of the Montana experience and at Parsons' Pony Farm we ensure that every child rides. Many parents and grandparents ask us, "Are our kids old enough and will they be safe?".
Yes and Yes!
At Parsons' Pony Farm children of all ages can ride a friendly gentle pony. We have no lower age limit, only an upper weight limit of 100 lbs. for most of the ponies. All riders are helmeted and accompanied on the trail, as in the pony pictures.
Trail Rides: Pony riders at the farm are invited to help groom and saddle their pony. Then they are helmeted, fitted to stirrups, and assisted by an experienced wrangler for a memorable ride. Be sure to bring a camera!
Parties: The ponies can travel to your location. They love birthday parties, company picnics, fund raisers, and other events such as First Night Missoula, where they have been featured for 11 years.
The Farm is located 20 minutes south of Missoula in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. It is about halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
The ponies are available year round, but reservations are required.
